
One scrapped Far Cry 4 idea sounded so cool, the open-world sport’s director thinks “that’s where the fun of the whole genre might lie.”
Far Cry is clearly well-known for its scene chewing villains – some of that are flamboyant, some of that are menacing, all of that are plain fun – and Far Cry 4 isn’t any totally different. However the collection virtually all the time places us at odds with the unhealthy guys, so an early idea for the fourquel noticed gamers with the ability to select where their loyalties lie.
Chatting with Edge 413 – out now – Murderer’s Creed 3 and Far Cry 4 inventive director Alex Hutchinson revealed that a discarded idea for the FPS let gamers give outposts again to the sport’s villain, Pagan Min, after capturing them the first time. Ubisoft’s open-world video games are historically about conquering/clearing a map, however this idea would’ve allow you to flip the script.
